We subjected the nine mascaras to an extensive individual test for a meaningful test result. For this purpose, five test criteria were defined, which are given an individual percentage weighting depending on the relevance of the criterion.
Selection of products
When selecting the products, attention was paid to objective aspects, such as the spread of the product on the market and a balanced selection of cheap and high-priced products. (Status: 06.02.2020)

• Application (30 percent)

• The most important factor: does the mascara live up to its promises? Does it bring the eyelashes into the desired shape?
• Durability (30 percent)
• Ideally, mascara should last the whole day. We test whether the mascara loses intensity over time.
• Make-up removal (10 percent)
• Can the mascara be removed with a cotton pad and some eye makeup remover? If the rubbing is too vigorous, the eyelashes and the delicate skin around the eyes suffer.
